Further Improvements to WULAC Waters

There have been major works carried out at the Willows Pools, Bickford Nr Penkridge recently.
In addition to a new entrance gate being installed. The track down to the Brook Pool has been levelled. In addition to this the bank for the Brook Pool has been significantly lowered and some of the pegs replaced. Thus making them far easier and more importantly less dangerous to access.

There have also been some tree stumps removed from the Willows Spring Pool, opening up two further pegs.

Platforms have now been installed all the way around the Whitegate Farm Pool and the row of Leylandii trees at the bottom of the pool near the car park has been extended all the way across. When these mature, they will form an excellent windbreak.

Swan pit has had new platforms installed on many of the pegs and there over the next few months all the pegs should be completed and replaced. In addition to this some pegs have had obstructions removed and swims opened up.

Further works will be carried out over the coming months but the club is pleased to report that the waters are fishing superbly at the moment.
